I FOUND NAET

After I had my first child, I quickly realized that my body was no longer in my control. We were traveling for a friends wedding, my baby was about 6 months old, and I was creaking and breaking like an old door. It was hard to walk, I had intense foot pain with each step. I could barely stand up straight, my lower back felt like it was about to snap. I had visited podiatrists and chiropractors. I was told to never wear my cute stilettos ever again. If you know anything about my Brazilian roots, you know that's not happening. The day before the wedding in Oregon I couldn't even lift my baby on my own. I searched and searched for a chiropractor in the area, desperate for relief. I found one who had a few unfamiliar letters beside her name... NAET. What is that? Who cares... she agreed to see me. So off I went on the appointment that would change my life.

HOLY MOLY I COULD WALK

I was there for my back mostly, and my feet that couldn't even stand standing, but instead of plopping me on the table and getting to popping, this woman started asking about the birth of my baby. She started checking the flow of my body, asking about the birth, asking questions that had nothing to do with a sore back. She did a series of purcussions down my spine with different breathing techniques. She mentioned that my body had never connected back after my emergency C-section. I left feeling different, feeling a bit more connected, to both myself and my baby. After a few hours I noticed that I was picking up my daughter without grunting and groaning. I could stand up strait. By the next day my feet had zero pain. My joy started coming back. I was shocked. I boarded my plane and headed home feeling like a new person.

BACK TO LIFE, BACK TO REALITY

Unfortunately I lived on the other side of the country from my new favorite person in Oregon. So I went about my life basically forgetting about NAET. Fast forward to the birth of my second child. I had a 2 year old and a new born... and suddenly I didn't feel like myself again. I started feeling so drained, feeling like I had something wrong with me. I had 2 perfect babies, I had a wonderful husband, so why couldn't I stop crying in the shower? Why was my body doing this to me? When I tried the doctors, they kept insisting I needed medication, one pill after another, every doctor had a new medication they wanted me to take. But I knew it wasn't right for me. I knew it wasn't right for my baby. So I started my search again, and sure enough, I found someone right in my area with those amazing letters beside her name, NAET. I started seeing Kristen, she was treating both myself and my son. Before we knew it,  his colic was gone, he was a much happier little man. But I was still not myself. It took a little more time for me, but I'll never forget the treatment when I left her office and sat in my car and took a deep, deep breath and felt like the elephant was lifted from my chest. I could breathe again. I felt like myself again! My life has never been the same!

NEW ME, WHO 'DIS?

I knew from that moment on I wanted to help people the way I had been helped. It was a journey to get here. I know both sides. I know the desperation of not knowing if you'll ever feel "yourself" again. I know the total joy of becoming "yourself" again. I know the fear of seeing something "wrong" with your child and the joy of seeing it healed. I know seeing skin disorders appearing on your baby's perfect face and hearing that they'll need steroids for an indefinite amount of time. I also know the joy of watching their perfect little face heal from within without steroids and seeing it stay healed.

MY PATH

So this has been my journey. I knew I needed to share what was shared with me. I needed to practice NAET. I went to school, got licensed,  got some other licenses as well (I'm also a massage therapist), and I keep following my passion and learning more and more every day. I treat Physical, Chemical and Emotional allergies through NAET. Some of my specialties are managing eczema, dermatitis, acne, and yeast/candidiasis and other skin disorders through NAET as well as anaphylactic case management. I treat all ages, but I'll confess, I have a special place in my heart for my pediatric cases. Often times babies can't quite express what they are feeling or suffering with, so being able to lend a healing voice to their little grunts and groans brings me such joy. Seeing kids start up their life path in a place of health and healing is a special privilege.

I hope I'm able to help you on your journey as my NAET practitioners helped me on mine. My goal is not to see you forever. I hope to help your body get to a place of healing and we can always do follow-up visits, but I want you to stop "needing" me. My success is your health.
